SEAT Exeo estate at Geneva
Plenty going on over at SEAT, with our first look at facelifted Leons, Altea and Altea XL and the inevitable eco concept car.
The latter builds on the success of SEAT’s existing Ecomotive sub-brand, taking sensible fuel saving a whole step further.

ST estate
Also new on the stand is the estate version of the Exeo, known as the ST. We drove the saloon version of recently – a reclothed, previous generation Audi A4 in case you didn’t already know – and were impressed with the build quality and standard kit SEAT has included.
Arguably more handsome than the saloon and undeniably more practical, the ST is even more appealing and if the price is right should go down a storm with bargain hunting families and fleet drivers alike. Ditto the updated Altea range, which includes an improved interior and the latest 170hp 2.0-litre common rail diesel.
Much smoother than the grumbly but grunty 1.9 diesel, this unit is also available in the Leon in sporty FR guise. Petrol fans aren’t left out either, with a new 211hp version of the popular turbocharged 2-litre engine seen in various VWs and Audis giving range-topping Leons some serious firepower.
There’s also a new XDS traction system on the Leon, mimicking the effect of a limited-slip differential to get the most out of the new engines without the need for costly or heavy mechanical upgrades. Wrapped up in refreshed ‘arrow design’ skin the Leon and Altea can now take their place in a reinvigorated SEAT range.
