New Legacy previewed at Subaru
An all-new Subaru is always an interesting event, if for no other reason than you can never tell what it’ll look like.
But after monstrosities like the Tribeca and the controversial hatchback Impreza this Legacy concept is relatively restrained.

Designs on a diesel?
They say concept but this is no futuristic show car with eye-catching gullwing doors and out of this world propulsion systems. No, what we have here is a sleek looking but ultimately conventional four-door saloon. Being a Subaru four-wheel drive and a boxer engine are of course part of the package.
And in the Legacy’s case this is a 3.6-litre six-cylinder petrol. Of limited interest to European buyers you’d have to hope Subaru is also developing a flat-six version of its fabulous boxer diesel motor for the Legacy, joined on the stand here by LHD versions of the Justy supermini already on sale in the UK.
