A DAY AT THE SEASIDE
NEW IMPULSE
LOOK FOR LESS
So what do you want from your date? For a traditional British day out, hotfoot it to one of the major resorts: Brighton, Blackpool, Southend or Weston-super-Mare, for example. Here, you can stroll along the pier, hang out in deckchairs and watch the world go by or visit the fairground (your date is honour-bound to try to win you a ridiculously huge teddy bear, whether you want one or not).
And if you're feeling brave, you could pay a visit to a fortune-teller and find out if your romance is destined to last. As long as you cross her palm with silver, we're sure the mystic will tell you what you want to hear!
Or you can head off for a long walk along the seafront: things soon quieten down once you get past the main beaches and it's here you'll often find hidden gems such as cute cafés and cosy pubs. Alternatively, why not throw caution to the wind and sign up for a his 'n' hers surfing lesson? Chances are you'll both look gorgeous in your wetsuits!
At the very least, remember that no trip to the seaside would be complete without a paddle in the sea - no matter how chilly it is! You know the drill: take off your shoes and stroll along the surf hand-in-hand. And don't forget to stick around to watch the sunset at the end of the day: the view of hundreds of starlings dancing around the sky as the sun sets over the Old Pier at Brighton, for instance, is one of the most romantic sights in the country.
The best thing about a day at the coast is that once you've got there, it doesn't have to cost a penny. The atmosphere, the views, the ocean: they're all absolutely free and waiting to be enjoyed. But if you splash out on one thing, make it fish and chips! It always tastes better at the seaside, shared with your loved one on the seafront at the end of a busy day.
And if you're baring your skin to enjoy the sun this summer, don't forget: your everyday fragrance New Impulse Romantic Spark will keep you smelling gorgeous and feeling fresh as a daisy throughout your date.

Three fabulous beaches to visit in the UK
1. Camber Sands, East Sussex: Stroll along the sandy beach, take a dip in the sea (if you dare!) then find a secluded spot in the dunes for a romantic picnic and a little together-time. Oh, and listen out for the skylarks.
2. Blackpool, Lancashire: Put on your 'Kiss Me Quick' hats, buy a candy floss and head off to explore one of the UK's most famous resorts. Fancy a ride on a rollercoaster or a laugh-a-minute trip to a waxwork museum? You're in the right place!
3. Southwold, Suffolk: Rows of picture-postcard-pretty beach huts, a gorgeous lighthouse and a beautiful, beautiful beach: it's hard to think of a more romantic place to spend a sunny afternoon.
