The continuing Harry Potter adventure saw us travel south from Manchester for the next stop on the tour, and this morning we arrived at Maypole Birmingham.

A very excited crowd were waiting as the doors opened, and many competition winners were dressed in their very own Harry Potter costumes.  Everyone was very happy to see the actual costumes which were waiting for them on the truck.   Our resident magician was once again thrilling the waiting prize winners with his magic, and everyone was trying to get him to "magic" them to Leavesden Studios for the chance to appear in one of the final films.

Sam (8) was one of the first to turn up dressed as Harry Potter, with his cloak, scar on his head, wand and Gryffindoor tie.  He is such a fan that he has Harry Potter curtains and wallpaper in his bedroom and has a replica of the flying car coming out of his wall.  Mark (15) and David (13)  are also big fans.  They have seen the films and are looking forward to the next one; they enjoyed the video game most of all and would be "really excited" if they won.  Jamie (12) and Thomas (9) have seen all the films, but mum Dawn who accompanied them is the biggest fan of all.  She has read all the books and enjoyed the costumes on the tour best of all.  Mum said if she won it would be "all her Christmas's put together".  Val, nicknamed Minn (no age given), turned up with her very own Professor McGonagall hat, accompanied by a miniature Dobby and Harry.  She thought casting the spell was wonderful and loved Dumbledore's costume.    Sophie (16) and Ellie (16) from Birmingham are "mega" fans and really want to win the chance to visit Leavesden Studios.  They have seen all the films and the highlight was seeing Dumbledore's costume, and the "Sorting Hat".  They would do "happy jumps" if they won.  Kyra (6) and Morgan (9) were accompanied by Harry Potter fan mum Tamatha, who loves the books and the films.  Mum enjoyed seeing Dumbledore's costume and the Dragon statues.  Kyra and Morgan both said they would jump up and down and scream if they won, but it would be difficult to decide who to take with them.
