Paris Motor Show: baby Alfa MiTo and 8C
Alfa doesn’t have anything on the Paris stand we haven’t already seen at other shows, including London. But it’s still worth calling by, motor show tradition dictating it’s not just the cars that tend to be stunning on the Alfa stand…
To business though. The beautiful 8C Competizione fits in very well here, and sets the tone for the rest of the cars on Alfa’s stand both literally and emotionally. Literally because every other car here (other than the 8C Spider) is painted in the trademark 8C ‘racing red.’
It certainly looks fantastic and is an option on any new Alfa. An option costing £15k. Fair play to anyone who ticks that box for a MiTo and doubles the price in the process. The colour sets Alfa’s stylish supermini off very nicely indeed too, with a brace of them here on the stand.
There’s also a hotted up version of the Brera coupe making its debut, bearing the TI (or Turismo Internazionale if you prefer) badge also seen on the 159. How this differs from the Prodrive fettled, UK-only Brera S will be interesting to discover – more when we get a chance to chat with the Alfa people first hand.
