Dell launches the Alienware M17x

Dell has unveiled what it describes as "the most powerful 17-inch gaming laptop in the universe" at this year's E3 show.
The Alienware M17x can be customised to suit the gaming needs of the buyer, with the top-of-the-line version packing the following specs.
 
• Dual one gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M graphic cards
• Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-core QX9300 mobile processor
• Eight gigabytes of DDR3 1333MHz Memory
• One terabyte hard drive (or 512GB solid state storage)
• A WUXGA 1920 x 1200 screen (offering 1200p 'beyond HD' quality)
• Blu-ray drive
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G1 GPU

To top it off, the whole thing's decked out with a heap of super-cool red lighting. The price tag on that little lot is a hulking £4579, though Dell does throw in the postage for free.
 
If you want to pick one up, but don't mind missing out on the tag 'ubermeister gamer of the galaxy' you can get the base model for £1699. Take a look at the Dell website for further info on specs.
